Responsibilities
- Design and validate high-efficiency power electronics for EV charging stations and grid-tied inverters
- Lead PCB layout and thermal management for 10kW+ power systems
- Develop control algorithms for power conversion systems using MATLAB/Simulink
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on thermal and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Conduct root cause analysis for field failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with UL 1741, IEC 61851, and IEEE 1547 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics or high-voltage systems design
- Expertise in Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro for PCB layout
- Proficiency in SPICE simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems and battery management systems
- Experience with embedded C programming for firmware integration
- Certification in power electronics or EMC engineering a plus
