Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical system design from concept to production for energy storage and power conversion systems
- Perform detailed circuit analysis using SPICE and simulation tools to validate performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software components
- Develop comprehensive testing protocols and oversee validation of prototypes in lab environments
- Research and implement emerging power electronics technologies (SiC/GaN, wide-bandgap semiconductors)
- Prepare technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and compliance reports
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design, including inverters, converters, and battery management systems
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro) and simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink)
- Strong understanding of EMI/EMC compliance standards and safety regulations (UL 1741, IEC 62109)
- Experience with high-voltage systems (600V+) and thermal management solutions
- Demonstrated success in bringing complex electronic products to market
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities for cross-functional collaboration
