Responsibilities
- Design and validate high-efficiency power electronics for grid-scale battery systems
- Lead cross-functional teams from concept to production of new power conversion systems
- Develop comprehensive test plans and conduct reliability analysis for hardware prototypes
- Optimize thermal management and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) designs
- Collaborate with software engineers to implement embedded control systems
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and patents for novel circuit topologies
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS/PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design and validation
- Expertise in 3-phase inverters, DC-DC converters, and battery management systems
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, and PCB design tools (Altium/Cadence)
- Strong knowledge of thermal management and EMC compliance standards
- Experience leading hardware development from prototype to production
- Track record of optimizing power density and efficiency in commercial products
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance (required for certain projects)
