Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical system design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and validation testing
- Develop and optimize embedded systems using microcontrollers (ARM, PIC) and FPGAs
- Conduct power electronics analysis and thermal management for high-efficiency designs
- Interface with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration
- Drive compliance with industry standards (UL, CE, FCC) and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for design documentation
- Research emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage in power distribution and signal integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred) with 7+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent EDA tools
- Proven track record in high-speed digital design and RF circuit development
- Strong background in power electronics (SMPS, motor control, battery management)
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and medical device development processes
- Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or PMP highly desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication with technical documentation abilities
