Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-voltage electrical systems for commercial renewable energy projects
- Lead power electronics development for solar inverters and energy storage systems
- Perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and compliance analysis
- Develop control algorithms for grid-tied renewable energy systems
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and regulatory compliance reports
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Collaborate with R&D teams on prototype development and validation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics and renewable energy systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink and circuit simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of IEEE 1547 and UL 1741 standards
- Experience with embedded C programming for microcontrollers
- Demonstrated project leadership in energy storage integration
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and EDA software
