Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-voltage electrical systems for renewable energy integration
- Lead PCB layout and schematic development for power electronics hardware
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for field failures
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical documentation
- Collaborate with software teams to develop embedded control systems
- Ensure compliance with UL 1741 and IEEE 1547 standards
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design
- Expertise in Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro
- Proficiency with SPICE simulation and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong knowledge of 3-phase power systems and grid-tie inverters
- Experience leading hardware development from prototype to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Demonstrated success in bringing products to market
