Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical Design: Oversee the end-to-end design of power distribution systems, lighting layouts, and fire protection schemes for commercial and industrial projects.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to the Singapore Standards (SS) and local building codes (BCA).
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, acting as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical growth within the team.
- Simulation & Analysis: Conduct load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and coordination studies using ETAP or equivalent software.
- Site Supervision: Provide technical supervision during construction and commissioning phases to ensure design intent is realized.
- Client Relations: Present technical proposals and reports to clients, ensuring clarity and addressing technical inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in electrical design, preferably within the architecture or industrial sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, and ETAP or SKM PowerTools.
- Licensure: Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Singapore is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and under tight deadlines.
