Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex electrical systems for large-scale renewable energy projects
- Perform detailed power system analysis including load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies
- Create and review technical specifications for transformers, switchgear, and protective relaying
- Lead field testing and commissioning activities for new installations
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design best practices
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure integrated system solutions
- Stay current with IEEE standards and emerging grid technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- 8+ years of experience in power systems engineering with emphasis in renewable energy
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with utility-scale solar farm or substation design
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems
- Excellent project management skills with proven ability to deliver on time
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety standards
