Responsibilities
- Design and optimize electrical systems for renewable energy projects including solar inverters and battery storage systems
- Lead PCB layout and schematic design using Altium Designer for high-reliability industrial applications
- Perform power system analysis using MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE simulations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and validate electrical components
- Ensure compliance with IEEE standards, NEC regulations, and industry best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and project management teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics or renewable energy systems
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro) and simulation software
- Strong understanding of three-phase systems, transformers, and power distribution
- Experience with embedded C programming for firmware development
- Proven track record of delivering complex electrical projects on schedule
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for Texas PE
- Experience with energy storage systems or smart grid technologies
