Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead the end-to-end design of electrical power systems, including high-voltage distribution and renewable energy integration.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with local, national, and international electrical codes (IEEE, IEC, NEC).
- Simulation & Testing: Utilize advanced simulation software (e.g., PSpice, MATLAB) to model system behavior and oversee rigorous testing protocols.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables efficiently.
- Failure Analysis: Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for system failures and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in electrical system design, preferably within the power generation or renewable energy sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical) and simulation software (MATLAB, PSpice, ETAP).
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems, circuit theory, and control systems.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
