Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of power electronics systems for renewable energy integration
- Analyze and optimize electrical grid performance using simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink)
- Oversee PCB layout, component selection, and prototype testing for high-efficiency inverters
- Collaborate with hardware teams on embedded systems for smart grid monitoring
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, UL, and NEC standards for electrical safety
- Mentor junior engineers and document technical specifications
- Drive continuous improvement in power conversion efficiency and reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics or grid systems design
- Expertise in Altium Designer, PSpice, or similar CAD tools
- Strong knowledge of three-phase systems, transformers, and switching topologies
- Experience with hardware-in-loop testing and failure analysis
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proven project management experience with cross-functional teams
