Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex electrical systems for smart grid infrastructure using AutoCAD and ETAP
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing power electronics solutions for renewable energy integration
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for critical electrical components
- Develop comprehensive testing protocols and validate system performance under extreme conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical training on IEEE standards and best practices
- Collaborate with product teams to translate customer requirements into engineering specifications
- Prepare detailed documentation including schematics, BOMs, and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of experience in power systems design with 3+ years in renewable energy integration
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, and power electronics simulation
- Deep knowledge of NEC, IEEE 1547, and grid interconnection standards
- Proven track record of leading projects from R&D to commercial deployment
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical data analysis
- Excellent communication abilities for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
