Responsibilities
- Design and validate high-voltage power distribution systems for renewable energy projects
- Lead electrical safety compliance analysis per NEC and IEEE standards
- Develop control algorithms for smart grid automation systems
- Perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical design reviews
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on integrated system architectures
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and patent disclosures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power systems design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD simulation tools
- Strong understanding of three-phase power systems and inverters
- Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems
- Proven track record in energy storage system integration
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP software
