Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex electrical systems for renewable energy projects including solar farms and battery storage
- Lead schematic development, PCB layout, and prototype testing for IoT-enabled smart grid components
- Perform power system analysis using industry-standard tools (ETAP, PSS/E, MATLAB/Simulink)
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC, and IEC standards for safety and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of design documentation
- Collaborate with vendors to source specialized components and negotiate technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in power systems, renewable energy, or smart grid design
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Altium Designer) and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of three-phase power systems, power electronics, and control systems
- Certification in PE (Professional Engineer) or equivalent industry credential preferred
- Demonstrated experience with project management from concept to deployment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems
