Responsibilities
- Lead design and validation of medium-voltage power electronics systems for solar/wind integration
- Develop embedded firmware for smart grid communication protocols
- Perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and compliance analysis
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and design workshops
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on thermal management solutions
- Generate detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and BOM documentation
- Support field commissioning and troubleshooting of deployed systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design (≥1kW systems)
- Proficiency with Cadence Allegro/OrCAD and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong knowledge of IEEE 1547, UL 1741, and NEC standards
- Experience with SiC/GaN device characterization and modeling
- Validated expertise in high-frequency transformer design
- Proven track record of bringing products from concept to production
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance if required
