Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end hardware design for aerospace control systems, from schematic capture to PCB layout
- Perform rigorous signal integrity analysis and EMI/EMC compliance testing
- Develop firmware interfaces for embedded sensor networks using C/C++
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on thermal management and enclosure design
- Validate prototypes through accelerated life testing and environmental chamber analysis
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining compliance with AS9100 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of aerospace/defense experience
- Expertise in Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro for high-speed PCB design
- Proficiency in Python/MATLAB for automated test scripting and data analysis
- Strong understanding of MIL-STD-810G environmental testing protocols
- Experience with DO-254 certification processes for safety-critical systems
- Proven track record of delivering hardware projects on aggressive timelines
