Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-voltage power distribution systems for smart grid deployments
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing embedded control systems for energy management
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and compliance validation
- Perform thermal and stress analysis on power electronics components
- Develop PCB layouts using Altium Designer for high-reliability applications
- Research emerging power semiconductor technologies for efficiency gains
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and design workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of power systems design experience
- Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink for power system modeling and simulation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and EDA tools (Altium/Cadence)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required
- Strong background in IEC/IEEE standards for power equipment
- Experience with three-phase systems and power factor correction
- Demonstrated project leadership in renewable energy integration
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety protocols
