Responsibilities
- Design and validate power distribution systems for utility-scale solar and wind farms
- Develop control algorithms for smart grid automation using MATLAB/Simulink
- Lead PCB layout for high-frequency switching power supplies (1-10MHz)
- Perform thermal and electromagnetic interference (EMI) simulations using ANSYS HFSS
- Conduct failure analysis on field-installed electrical components
- Manage project timelines and deliverables using JIRA
- Prepare technical documentation and patent disclosures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in power electronics or utility-scale systems
- Proficiency in Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro
- Familiarity with IEEE 1547 and UL 1741 standards
- Strong analytical skills with SPICE simulation experience
- Experience with high-voltage (>10kV) systems
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Excellent presentation and technical writing abilities
