Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-voltage power distribution systems for renewable energy integration
- Lead PCB layout and schematic development for smart grid monitoring devices
- Perform thermal and electromagnetic simulations using industry-standard tools
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IoT-enabled power solutions
- Ensure compliance with IEEE standards and NEC regulations
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for field issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power systems or high-voltage design
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Altium Designer, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong understanding of three-phase systems and power electronics
- Proven experience with embedded systems and firmware integration
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience leading projects from concept to production
- Familiarity with UL 1741 and IEEE 1547 standards
