Responsibilities
- Design and document electrical power distribution systems for complex commercial projects.
- Perform comprehensive load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and structural engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead on-site inspections and provide technical oversight during the construction and commissioning phases.
- Ensure all designs strictly adhere to NEC, IEEE, and local building code standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables for quality and accuracy.
- Support project managers with detailed cost estimation and material procurement strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in electrical power design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and SKM PowerTools or ETAP software.
- Deep understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, and relevant industry regulations.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
