Responsibilities
- Design and validate high-voltage power electronics for grid-tied battery storage systems
- Lead hardware development from prototype to production, including PCB layout and thermal management
- Perform electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing and compliance certification
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Develop firmware interfaces for power control algorithms
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on system integration and enclosure design
- Analyze field performance data to drive product improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years experience in power electronics design (≥1kW systems)
- Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink for power system modeling
- Proficiency with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
- Familiarity with UL 1741 and IEEE 1547 standards
- Strong analytical skills with statistical analysis experience
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP preferred
