Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-voltage power distribution systems for commercial microgrids
- Develop embedded firmware for smart grid monitoring and control systems
- Lead PCB layout and validation for high-frequency power electronics
- Perform thermal and electromagnetic interference (EMI) simulations using ANSYS
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on integrated power system enclosures
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical workshops
- Drive compliance with IEEE 1547 and UL 1741 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design
- Proficiency in Altium Designer and MATLAB/Simulink
- Certification in Power Systems Engineering (PE) required
- Expertise in GaN/SiC semiconductor applications
- Strong background in EMC/EMC compliance testing
- Experience with SCADA system integration
- Demonstrated project leadership in energy sector deployments
