Responsibilities
- Lead the design and validation of high-voltage power distribution systems for utility-scale renewable projects
- Develop PCB layouts and firmware for embedded control systems using Altium Designer and C++
- Conduct thermal and electromagnetic interference (EMI) simulations using COMSOL and ANSYS
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on enclosure design and thermal management solutions
- Prepare technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and compliance reports (UL 1741, IEEE 1547)
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expertise in power electronics (DC-DC converters, inverters) and three-phase systems
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and control algorithm development
- Strong knowledge of PCB design practices including impedance matching and signal integrity
- Experience with renewable energy systems or grid-tied applications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to commercialization
