Responsibilities
- Design and validate power distribution systems for UAV platforms using Altium Designer
- Lead PCB layout and signal integrity analysis for high-speed data buses
- Develop embedded firmware for flight control systems in C/C++
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and compliance certification
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and design critiques
- Interface with FAA/EASA regulators for certification documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or defense electronics
- Expertise in DO-254/178C safety-critical design standards
- Proficiency with LabVIEW for automated test systems
- Certification in IPC-2221 PCB design guidelines
- Strong background in RF/microwave circuit design (2.4GHz+)
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
