Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-voltage electrical systems for solar and wind energy projects
- Perform power system analysis using ETAP/PSS®E modeling software
- Lead compliance testing and certification for UL 1741 and IEEE 1547 standards
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype energy storage solutions
- Prepare detailed schematics and BOMs for manufacturing partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power systems design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with NEC/IEEE standards and grid interconnection protocols
- Strong analytical skills for fault current and load flow calculations
- Track record of delivering utility-scale renewable projects
