Responsibilities
- Design and develop schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and embedded firmware for power distribution systems
- Perform signal integrity analysis and EMI/EMC compliance testing for aerospace applications
- Lead cross-functional teams through full product lifecycle from prototyping to FAA certification
- Optimize power electronics for efficiency in extreme environmental conditions (-40°C to 85°C)
- Document technical specifications and maintain compliance with DO-160G standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or defense electrical systems
- Expertise in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar EDA tools
- Proficiency with C/C++ for embedded firmware development
- Strong knowledge of power electronics (buck/boost converters, motor drives)
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety principles
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
