Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical system design for smart grid infrastructure, including power electronics and control systems
- Perform detailed circuit analysis, component selection, and PCB layout for high-efficiency power converters
- Develop comprehensive testing protocols and validate system performance under extreme conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure design excellence
- Collaborate with software teams to integrate embedded control systems with electrical hardware
- Drive innovation in sustainable energy solutions through R&D initiatives
- Ensure compliance with IEEE standards, NEC regulations, and environmental sustainability goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expertise in power electronics, motor drives, and high-voltage systems design
- Proficiency with CAD tools (Altium Designer, AutoCAD Electrical) and simulation software (PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink)
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and thermal management principles
- Experience with renewable energy systems integration (solar/wind) and grid-tied inverters
- Proven track record of delivering complex electrical projects from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure in California
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues
