Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of complex power electronic systems including inverters, converters, and battery management systems
- Perform detailed circuit analysis, simulation, and validation using industry-standard tools (e.g., PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink)
- Develop PCB layouts and oversee prototype testing for reliability and performance optimization
- Ensure compliance with UL 1741, IEC 62109, and other industry safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to maintain design excellence
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on thermal management and enclosure design integration
- Support field troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical system issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design, particularly for renewable energy systems
- Expertise in high-voltage DC (HVDC) systems, battery BMS, and three-phase inverters
- Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro)
- Strong analytical skills for solving complex electromagnetic interference (EMI) challenges
- Certification in power electronics or energy systems (e.g., PE license) highly valued
- Experience with embedded systems programming (C/C++) and firmware development
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to production
