Responsibilities
- Design, test, and validate electrical systems for aerospace applications including PCB layouts, power supplies, and signal integrity analysis
- Lead development of embedded firmware for real-time control systems using C/C++ and RTOS platforms
- Perform thermal, stress, and compliance testing to meet FAA/DOT certification requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure best practices
- Collaborate with mechanical and software teams on integrated system architecture
- Research emerging technologies (e.g., GaN semiconductors, AI-driven diagnostics) for implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
- 5+ years experience in aerospace or high-reliability electronics development
- Expertise in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar EDA tools
- Strong knowledge of DO-160 environmental standards and MIL-STD-461 compliance
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and automated test equipment
- Experience with power electronics (buck/boost converters, motor drives) and battery management systems
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
