What you'll achieve:
- Lead end-to-end electrical system design from concept to deployment
- Optimize power electronics for solar and battery storage systems
- Drive innovation in grid integration technologies
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and knowledge sharing
Responsibilities
- Design and validate complex electrical schematics using AutoCAD and EPLAN
- Conduct power analysis and thermal modeling for high-voltage systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on PCB layout and component selection
- Develop firmware interfaces for embedded control systems
- Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, and IEEE standards
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years in power electronics or renewable energy systems
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE simulation tools
- Experience with high-voltage DC (HVDC) systems and grid-tied inverters
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong background in EMC/EMI compliance testing
- Demonstrated project leadership with $1M+ budgets
- Expertise in embedded C/C++ for firmware development
