In this role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical design and practical application, ensuring our infrastructure is robust, efficient, and compliant with all safety standards. You will mentor junior engineers and drive innovation in our core power systems division.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex electrical systems, including power distribution and control systems, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Conduct thorough analysis, simulations, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and performance under varying loads.
- Prepare detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using industry-standard software like AutoCAD and EPLAN.
- Lead cross-functional teams in project lifecycles, from concept and design through to commissioning and final delivery.
- Ensure all engineering projects strictly comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including NEC standards.
- Perform on-site inspections and coordinate with vendors and contractors for component procurement and installation.
- Collaborate with project managers to define scope, budget, and timelines for engineering deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related technical field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical design, preferably within the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred and a strong asset.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN) and simulation tools (MATLAB, PSpice, or ETAP).
- Strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC), safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
