Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead the design of complex electrical systems, schematics, and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Prototyping: Oversee the prototyping phase, including sourcing components and managing the assembly process.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including datasheets, BOMs, and design for manufacturability (DFM) reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards (UL, CE, IEC) and regulatory requirements.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in electrical design and PCB development.
- Tools: Proficiency in EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, or KiCad.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of circuit analysis, embedded systems, and microcontrollers.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- License: EIT or PE certification is a plus.
