Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize complex electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Conduct load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and reliability assessments using industry-standard software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Ensure all engineering designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as IEEE and NEC standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, project managers) to integrate electrical systems into broader project scopes.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, schematics, and BOMs for manufacturing and construction.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
- Participate in client meetings to present technical concepts and project status updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in power systems engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, or ETAP) and simulation software.
- Strong working knowledge of IEEE standards (IEEE 1584, IEEE 3002.7) and NEC codes.
- Experience with renewable energy integration and smart grid technologies is highly preferred.
- PMP or PE (Professional Engineer) certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
