Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex electrical power systems and infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning.
- Conduct detailed load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash hazard analysis to ensure system reliability and safety compliance.
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP software to create detailed schematics, one-line diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform site inspections and provide technical oversight during construction and installation phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Ensure all designs strictly adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC, IEC) and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in electrical power system design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical reporting and client presentations.
