Responsibilities
- Design and validate high-power electrical systems (400V+) for aerospace applications
- Develop PCB layouts using Altium Designer for motor controllers and power distribution units
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and mitigation strategies
- Lead thermal management solutions for power electronics in confined aerospace environments
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on integration of electrical components into airframes
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with DO-160G and FAA certification requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in high-power electronics design
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and simulation
- Expertise in Altium Designer and PCB layout best practices
- Experience with aerospace or automotive power systems
- Strong knowledge of EMC/EMI standards and testing methodologies
- Familiarity with DO-160G environmental standards
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance (if required)
