Responsibilities
- Lead design and validation of aerospace-grade power electronics and distribution systems
- Develop embedded firmware for real-time control systems using C/C++
- Perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and compliance analysis
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation including schematics and test reports
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for compliance with DO-160 standards
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on thermal management and PCB layout optimization
- Research emerging electrical technologies for integration into next-gen platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace/defense electrical systems
- Proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar EDA tools
- Expertise in high-voltage DC systems (400V+) and power electronics
- Familiarity with DO-160, DO-254, and AS9100 standards
- Strong analytical skills with experience in signal integrity and RF design
- Proven ability to lead complex projects from concept to certification
- Active FAA Part 65 certification or willingness to obtain
