Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of complex electrical systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Perform detailed power system analysis using ETAP and PSCAD software
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of design documentation
- Develop compliance strategies for IEEE, NEC, and IEC standards
- Collaborate with R&D team to prototype next-gen energy storage solutions
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Optimize system performance through simulation and field testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power systems design or utility infrastructure
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Expertise in AutoCAD Electrical and power modeling tools
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy integration and microgrid design
- Proven project management experience with multi-million dollar budgets
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex electrical challenges
- Ability to travel domestically 10% of time for site assessments
