Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of advanced PCBs for smart grid applications
- Develop embedded systems firmware for industrial automation controls
- Perform power system analysis and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing
- Optimize circuit designs for efficiency and regulatory compliance (UL/CE/FCC)
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams on integrated product development
- Document technical specifications and create detailed schematics using AutoCAD
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics and embedded systems
- Proficiency in Altium Designer, MATLAB/Simulink, and SPICE simulation
- Strong knowledge of IEC/EN 62368 and NEC standards
- Experience with renewable energy systems (solar/wind integration)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
