Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex electrical systems for aerospace applications, including power distribution, avionics, and control systems
- Lead PCB layout, schematic capture, and component selection using Altium Designer and Cadence tools
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and compliance analysis per FAA/EASA standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure design integrity
- Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to integrate electrical subsystems
- Develop test plans and prototypes to validate performance under extreme conditions
- Research emerging technologies and recommend innovations for product development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability electrical systems
- Expertise in power electronics, embedded systems, and signal integrity
- Proficiency with ECAD tools (Altium, Cadence) and simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink)
- Familiarity with DO-254, DO-160, and ARP4754A standards
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding engineering teams
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
