Responsibilities
- Lead Circuit Design: Design, develop, and test complex analog and digital circuitry for consumer electronics and industrial applications.
- PCB Layout: Oversee the PCB design process using industry-standard tools (Altium Designer, Cadence, or OrCAD), ensuring high signal integrity and manufacturability.
- System Integration: Collaborate closely with firmware and software engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and embedded systems.
- Technical Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, conducting code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Compliance & Testing: Conduct thorough EMC/EMI testing, ensure compliance with FCC/CE standards, and perform rigorous root cause analysis for hardware failures.
- Prototyping: Drive the rapid prototyping process using 3D printing, soldering, and oscilloscopes to validate design concepts before mass production.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in hardware design, specifically in power electronics or embedded systems.
- Tools: Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools; experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of microcontrollers (ARM, FPGA), signal integrity, and power management topologies.
- Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex circuit faults using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
