Responsibilities
- System Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design of complex electrical systems, including power distribution, circuit schematics, and PCB layouts.
- Prototype Development: Oversee the design, testing, and validation of electrical prototypes to ensure performance meets rigorous standards.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with IEEE, NEC, and international safety and regulatory standards.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical growth within the team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to integrate hardware seamlessly into broader systems.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in electrical design, preferably within the tech or renewable energy sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Specialization: Strong background in power electronics, motor control, or embedded systems design.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system performance under tight constraints.
