Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-voltage power distribution systems for commercial solar farms and EV charging networks
- Lead PCB layout and schematic design for energy storage systems using Altium Designer
- Conduct power system analysis and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of design documentation
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, UL 1741, and IEEE 1547 standards
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on thermal management solutions for power electronics
- Develop test protocols and oversee validation of prototypes in ISO-certified labs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of power systems experience
- Expertise in three-phase power design and switch-mode power supply topology
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and P&ID development
- Strong knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience leading projects from concept to UL certification
- Advanced analytical skills for troubleshooting complex power electronics issues
- Excellent communication skills for client presentations and stakeholder management
