Responsibilities
- Lead System Design: Oversee the architecture of high-voltage power distribution and control systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform complex load flow, short-circuit, and transient stability analyses using industry-standard software (e.g., ETAP, PSCAD).
- Documentation: Create detailed technical specifications, circuit schematics, and single-line diagrams compliant with NEC and IEEE standards.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to ensure engineering milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal safety regulations and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Master’s degree preferred.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is a significant plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in electrical power systems design.
- Tools: Proficiency in CAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar design tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of circuit theory, electromagnetics, and power electronics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
