What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of complex electrical power systems, including high-voltage distribution and control logic.
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.
- Conduct load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, and coordination studies to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into larger product ecosystems.
- Perform rigorous testing and validation of prototypes to ensure compliance with IEEE and NFPA standards.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, acting as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical design, preferably within the power generation or industrial automation sector.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD tools such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or EPLAN Electric P8.
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and IEEE standards.
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, ETAP) is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members effectively.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license is highly desirable.
