Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical design for solar inverters and battery storage systems
- Develop and validate PCB layouts using Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro
- Perform thermal and electromagnetic interference (EMI) simulations using ANSYS and COMSOL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and firmware solutions
- Document design specifications and create comprehensive test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Stay current with industry standards (IEC 62109, UL 1741) and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics and PCB design
- Expertise in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, and SPICE simulation tools
- Proven track record with high-voltage DC systems (>1kV) and battery management systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in thermal and EMI analysis
- Experience leading hardware development through NPI (New Product Introduction) cycles
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
