Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex electrical systems including schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection.
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle, from concept to mass production.
- Perform rigorous simulation, prototyping, and bench testing to validate design performance and safety.
- Oversee compliance and certification processes, ensuring designs meet UL, CE, and NEC standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT).
- Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Analyze root causes for field failures and implement effective design improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in hardware design, specifically in power electronics or industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage safety standards and thermal management principles.
- Experience with simulation software like LTspice, MATLAB, or Simulink.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
