Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical system design for utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Develop and optimize power electronics circuits including inverters and battery management systems
- Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Altium Designer
- Conduct electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing and compliance analysis per IEEE/IEC standards
- Validate system performance through simulation tools (PSIM, PLECS) and prototype testing
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design and high-voltage systems
- Expertise in renewable energy integration and smart grid technologies
- Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and EDA software (Altium Designer, KiCad)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in thermal management and reliability analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with UL 1741, IEEE 1547, and NEC compliance standards
