Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of complex electrical systems and power conversion units, ensuring optimal performance.
- Develop and review detailed schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools like Altium Designer and Cadence.
- Perform thermal and electrical simulations to optimize system performance, reliability, and component selection.
- Collaborate closely with firmware engineers and mechanical designers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Oversee the validation testing process, including prototype builds, bench testing, and environmental stress testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices in power electronics and circuit design.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards to drive continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) with a focus on Power Electronics or Embedded Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in electrical hardware design, PCB layout, and circuit analysis.
- Proficiency in EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, or PSpice.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, including UL, IEC, and NEC compliance.
- Experience with thermal management strategies and high-voltage circuit design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
