Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Compliance Management: Monitor evolving environmental legislation and ensure full adherence to local and international regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and lead incident investigations to prevent future occurrences.
- Auditing: Manage internal and external audits, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Training & Culture: Design and deliver EHS training programs to cultivate a proactive safety culture across all departments.
- Sustainability Reporting: Lead the preparation of annual sustainability and compliance reports for stakeholders and regulators.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related technical field.
- Certification: NEBOSH National Diploma or IOSH Managing Safely (Mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within the UK construction or manufacturing sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHS software systems (e.g., SAP, Intelex) and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data to executive leadership.
