Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Design, execute, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety policies that align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in OSHA, EPA, and CAL-OSHA regulations, ensuring our facilities maintain full compliance and minimize legal risks.
- Incident Management: Lead the investigation of accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Safety Training: Conduct comprehensive safety training sessions for all staff, from entry-level to executive management, promoting a safety-first mindset.
- Site Audits: Perform regular internal audits and inspections of equipment, processes, and workspaces to identify potential hazards.
- Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness for fire, chemical spills, or medical emergencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CESP (Certified Environmental Safety Professional) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with EHS management software (e.g., SAP EHS, Qualys, or similar) and strong knowledge of HAZMAT handling and waste management regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence organizational culture regarding safety practices.
